Official app stores
Search for reputable players compatible with your panel type. Older TVs may lack updates, which means missing codecs or TLS requirements for modern HTTPS playlists.
When a stick still wins
External Fire TV or Android boxes receive faster app updates and usually decode HEVC more reliably. They also make it easier to troubleshoot because you can swap HDMI ports or cables.
Networking on wall-mounted TVs
Wi-Fi antennas sit close to the wall; if signal is weak, use Ethernet or a small bridge. Poor connectivity shows up as “every app buffers,” not only IPTV.
